Services · Next Point Exit Readiness

Prepare for a better exit.
Business readiness. Personal readiness.

For owners planning a sale in the next 12–36 months.

A confidential, 30-minute conversation.

Why readiness matters

The decision to sell can sometimes come sooner than expected.

For many owners, it starts with an unsolicited offer or an unplanned event. Suddenly, a sale is on the table, with less time to address the issues that could affect value.

Next Point Exit Readiness gives you a structured way to prepare, build enterprise value, and create options before you need them.

The process

Five meetings. A clearer path forward.

Five one-on-one meetings over 6–12 months, scheduled at your pace, with document review between sessions. By the end, you’ll know exactly what needs attention, what should come first, and what the next step toward a sale should be.

What readiness builds

A stronger business is worth having, even when you choose to keep it.

The same preparation that supports a future sale can strengthen the business while you still own it.

01

Clearer, defensible earnings.

Clean, consistent financials and well-supported adjustments make it easier to understand what the business truly earns.

02

Less dependence on you.

Key decisions, customer relationships, and day-to-day operations are increasingly carried by the team.

03

More visible future revenue.

Customer mix, repeat business, contracts, backlog, or pipeline help show what is likely to continue.

04

A growth story with support.

Demand, capacity, investment needs, and management depth support the opportunities ahead.

05

Better alignment with your plans.

A clearer view of value, deal structure, debt, taxes, and your role after a sale helps define what the exit needs to accomplish.

Before we begin

A few practical questions.

What happens after the five meetings?

We review your readiness and agree on the next steps toward a sale. When the business is ready, we can move into a separately agreed M&A engagement. If further preparation would strengthen your position, you leave with a prioritized action plan and a clear timeline for reassessing readiness. You retain control over whether and when to proceed.

How much of my time will this take?

Five one-on-one working meetings over six to twelve months, scheduled at your pace, plus document preparation and focused follow-ups as needed. We agree on responsibilities at the outset, including the information needed from you, your team, and your existing advisors.

Will you work with my existing advisors?

Yes. We coordinate with your CPA, attorney, wealth advisor, and relevant members of your team. Tax, legal, estate, and personal financial advice remain with the appropriate professionals.

What does the engagement cost?

A defined scope and fee are agreed before we begin, based on the complexity of the business and the work involved. Any specialist services and any future sale engagement are separately scoped and priced.

What happens if I need to sell sooner?

Tell us at the outset. The first review helps determine whether focused preparation or a more immediate sale process fits your situation. We will not recommend a longer preparation period simply to fit this service.

Will anyone know I am planning a sale?

The engagement is confidential. Involving employees, customers, or potential buyers requires your approval. We agree on who participates and how business information is shared before work begins.
